School’s Out for Summer!

Yay! Today I successfully finished another year at Adams State University! As I was studying for finals this week I felt as though the horror would never end. I sat at my desk absolutely exhausted all week, and now that it is over I am so excited I cannot sit still. It is amazing, yet absolutely terrifying knowing that in one more year I will have a BS degree in Wildlife Biology and looking for a career. I have no idea where I want to live, or exactly what I want to do right after graduation, but I am getting more and more excited as it gets closer.
Next week will be my first week full time as a EFTA intern and it looks like we have a busy schedule for the summer set up already. This summer we will be participating in community outreach, macroinvertebrate surveys, SWFL surveys, shorebird surveys, night amphibian surveys and so much more. I know this summer is going to require a lot of time, energy, and dedication, and I cannot wait for it all to start. I learn so much and meet so many amazing people through work during the summer that it makes me super excited to start!
