The End of Another Summer

While the majority of people start school this week, I don’t and I am torn about it. I am so excited that I don’t have to endure the stressful, sleepless nights that college entails but I am also really sad that all of the wonderful people i had a chance to work with this summer have left and I am left working alone. I don’t mind working alone at all, its quite peaceful in the early mornings when the sun is starting to come up over Mt Blanca and I am left alone in solitude to count shorebirds and enjoy the scenery. However, I will miss sharing life stories with Talisa and Anjelica and laughing until we were crying over who knows what. Every day was a new adventure and even when we had to work long, hot, crazy hours, we kept each other entertained and it made the days fly by. I was nervous coming into this position because they had started before me and already formed a bond between them, but they both welcomed me with open arms and in the few short months that we worked together I made two of the best friends that I have ever had. I still have another month of this internship and I can’t wait to see what new adventures are up ahead!
