My new home

My new home isn’t like many other homes; my new home is a place where people go to get away from commotion of everyday society and enjoy the great outdoors. Blanca isn’t just my home, Blanca is a home to many. It is a home to amphibians and those nasty little horse flies, but my favorite thing that dwells here are the migratory birds. They stop by for a visit every year like a great aunt visiting and bringing lots of presents. The birds get me excited just like my tia would, with all their beautiful colors and the diversity they bring. My home is in the heart of the San Luis Valley over looking  Mt. Blanca, which is considered one of the four sacred mountains to the Navajo tribe. My home, Blanca, is where I will be working for the next few months.
