The days have been full of sunshine here in Cordova, Alaska. The sun is awakening the life that was dormant during the cold winter. As the days get longer and the nights get shorter, new migrants from afar begin to arrive, rejoicing in the new season’s bounty.
As shorebirds make their way north, I wait patiently by researching about them and my surroundings.
This week I met some amazing people from the community that shared with me their passion and experiences that have contributed to my wonderful journey in Alaska.
I look forward to spending more time with my new friends and getting to meet other members of the community as I work toward creating community outreach programs.
