My name is Jean Carlos Rodríguez, a tropical islander guy born and raised in Puerto Rico. I grew up between a coffee farm and a horse ranch where I became fond with nature, leading me to finish my BS in Microbiology at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez. I am really passionate about biodiversity conservation and for the next months I will be an intern in the Pacific Flyway Ambassador project, having the opportunity to do science while driving along the Pacific coast of North America documenting and learning about shorebird migration. I am really excited to meet my fellow interns and mentors during the training in San Diego, as well as to embark in this journey, enjoy this valuable experience, meet new people and collect unforgettable memories during this new experience.
