Hello, my name is Stefan Armenia. I am a Colorado Native residing in a small town boarding Colorado and New Mexico. I am currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Natural Resource Management and Criminology at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado. I am also a Daniels Fund Scholar representing professionalism, integrity, and leadership. Throughout my childhood, I have dreamt of becoming a law enforcement officer with the federal government. My hobbies include fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, horseback riding, and other outdoor activities. I have had the privilege to work with the Bureau of Land Management for 6 seasons under the Riparian Department focusing on habitat management. During my time there I have realized the importance of conservation as well as preservation of our local resources for future generations. I am very excited to participate in the Celebrate Shorebirds internship and connecting the local youth with sustainability and environmental issues in their local community. I look forward to gaining more knowledge.
