In reality, I have been surrounded be people and loaded to the brim with duties and responsibilities! I am still going to college to receive my Bachelors of Science in Chemistry with a business minor. In addition, I have the Celebrate Shorebirds Internship, a math tutor job, and a beautiful family and wife! The beginning of this week started with my research poster presentation at the American Chemical Society conference at the San Diego Convention center. My research was on ammonia analysis from water samples collected at the Colorado Blanca Wetlands. So in a conference about chemistry, but my project included shorebirds and how the data collected from the sites is used for management decisions. Can you name that shorebird?
When I returned, my co-workers and I had a meeting with the site supervisors in order to coordinate and begin planning our outreach strategy with the local schools. I can’t wait to get started with the outreach!
