Blanca Outreach#2

Wednesday marks the first field trip to Blanca. The day started off gloomy with a little rain, but as time passed the rain started to fade out. We started the day with an icebreaker, playing Common Ground for about 15 minutes, and then transitioned to the history of Blanca and how water moves through the landscape. Then as Tayler and Anjelica broke the group into two smaller groups, myself and Eddie set up the migration game, mini golf, and macroinvertebrate stations. The overall day was a blast, and the kids had so much fun. They said that their favorite part of the day was having the opportunity to get wet in the pond. Even though they did not have an extra set of clothes, a towel, or another pair of shoes, they still got wet. At the end of the day we talked to them about our careers and time with the Bureau of Land Management. Our time spent with these kids was amazing; we learned so much and got awesome feedback from the teachers. The day was an accomplishment not only for myself, but for the entire team as well.  Blanca Outreach#3
