Hummingbird feeding on the pink flower!

The same hummingbird feeding on a sweet pea flower.

Lately, I have been thinking about how my internship here at Environment for the Americas will be ending soon. It’s all bittersweet. I know I still have about a month and a half, but every month this year has flown by. I am so appreciative for all the things I have learned here. I have learned how to help manage interns and how to create an event. I helped with the training, surveyed in both English and Spanish, and hosted tables at events. I am helping to create a large citizen science project, and am excited to be in one place. Not that I don’t like traveling, but commuting is a little different. However, I still have a month and a half left, and there are still lots of things to do. For example, I took my first decent picture of a hummingbird foraging! So there is lots more to come.
