This week I had an awesome opportunity to work with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service doing their annual duck banding project. It was a blast, for the people doing the banding anyway, but the ducks probably didn’t share my enthusiasm. It felt great to participate in a project that helps collect information on a key species, and it is data that is available to everyone. It is the last week before classes start, so I will miss being outdoors and my tan will slowly start fading away…but the memories and contributions I made this summer will not. It will be a busy last year of school, when I will be completing all my senior classes and receiving my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a Business minor. It has been a little rocky getting through all the previous years, but I didn’t quit and it has all paid off!
