Today is the final day of my internship in Alaska. Although my heart is breaking to leave such a wonderful world of great people and extraordinary wildlife, I must continue my journey into a new world of adventure–Klamath Falls, Oregon. The experience I’ve had as just a fresh graduate from college is nothing I ever expected to happen, and the moment I return home I am going to scrapbook all my pictures so I can remember this journey forever and show everyone what I have done. Environment for the Americas (EFTA) made my one dream come true, and it also helped me influence others that it can be possible to reach for your dreams…you just have to take that first step through the door. Through this internship, not only did I gain experience in different fields with the Forest Service but I also felt myself become more mature than when I started it, and teaching children about this internship was truly a honor. I want to thank everyone again–my family,  EFTA, and the Forest Service–for giving me the opportunity to travel to the southeast of my favorite state and witness all it has to offer. I will tell everyone who is interested in wildlife conservation about EFTA, and how much of a thrill and honor it can be to be a part of such an amazing organization.
