Hey, y’all! Week three here in Southeast D.C. and I thought I’d dedicate this short blog post to EFTA and ECC. As you’ve probably read in other blog postsfrom my friends and fellow EFTA interns, we’ve been busy!
I have never enjoyed going to work this much, EVER. It has been go, go, go since I arrived in early March, but with much progress. I have met so many new people who are shining examples of what it means to have a career in environmental work.
I talk with lots of different people from all over the DC area to share ideas and create events and curriculum that will inspire and intrigue young students about conservation and environmental stewardship.
Tomorrow, we will be attending a National Wildlife Federation gala with ECC.
Okay, I’ve never been to gala before so I’m not sure what to expect. It should be pretty fun, considering it’s a formal event, though we are gonna stroll up in our official EARTH CONSERVATION CORPS hoodies. Our team will be in forest green and visible from miles away (or so we hope).
Wish me luck as I continue this journey!
P.S. Seems like spring is going to be super busy and only getting more intense as summer gets closer!
AND, as promised, above is the winner of the Jr. Duck Stamp Competition here in DC.
Great artist, huh!?
