It is a beautiful sunny day here in Wenatchee, Washington, and that means lots of fun outdoor activities! Wenatchee during the spring has got to be one of my favorite places on earth. The magnolia trees and pines look so colorful in the sunlight! I absolutely love the ever-changing colors of Wenatchee. It’s so great seeing families out and about going on walks, bike rides, and hikes around the city.
One of Wenatchee’s most iconic hikes is the Saddle Rock hike, which is two miles round trip. The picture above is at the top of the hike looking out towards the hills. This hike is perfect for the entire family, and year round there are people on this hike. It starts out fairly easy and then there are a few spots where the incline is steep. That makes these parts a bit more challenging. The best part in my opinion are the wildflowers! You can see the green hills covered with purple and yellow as you get closer. As you arrive to the top there is an amazing view of the city of Wenatchee and the Columbia River. It is an excellent spot in Wenatchee and if you’re ever in the city it is a great place to explore. Bonus points if you can name the wildflowers!
I am looking forward to going on plenty of these hikes with my community and learning alongside them! Of course I will make sure to take lots of pictures to share with you all. Thank you again for reading and I will see you next time!
